PROGRESS 2024: Emporia City Manager looks ahead

As the City moves forward into 2024, it is important to discuss some of the major projects that will impact and improve Emporia over the next year. These projects are designed to enhance our lives, infrastructure, and community.

Citizens Survey: The first major step of 2024 is to ask our neighbors about their priorities. The City has contracted with the ETC Institute to develop a statistically valid tool for collecting the thoughts and opinions of our community. The 2024 Community Survey will serve various purposes: informing decision-making and policy development, evaluating the effectiveness of our programs and services, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting in strategic planning. Survey results will help allocate resources efficiently and guide community leaders in setting priorities, establishing goals, and developing future strategies.
